Balanegra is a municipality in the province of Almería with an area of 31.6 km2 and 2,886 inhabitants. It limits with El Ejido and with Adra. Balanegra's economy is based mainly on agriculture and grazing, although tourism is the second source of income, tripling the inhabitants in summer.
